Welcome to Mitigwaaki, meaning forest in Anishinaabemowin. Immerse yourself in nature, and create a piece of it to take home. 

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own candles? Well now you can! Join me at Mitigwaaki to learn how to craft your own personalized candles. Choose from a wide variety of essential oils, vessels and botanical pieces. Put your creativity to the test with your own uniquely curated candle.

A behind the scenes view of the sacred medicines, and a hands on memory you’ll never forget. Take home more than a souvenir – take home a new skill, a new understanding, and a piece of your experience. 

After exploring the medicine wheel garden and greenhouse, enjoy a delicious traditional lunch catered by local indigenous chefs. Be amazed on our guided tour through the Exploration Trails.

What to expect

Each of our packages include an authentic meal catered by local indigenous chefs, as well as a guided tour through the exploration trails. Immerse yourself in nature and create a piece of it to take home.

Choose from one of our experience options which include Candle Making, our Essential Oil bar and Planting of the Sacred Medicines (Mashkiki). 

Infusing natural soy wax and pure essential oils; Indigenously Infused creates hand-poured candles in small batches, which reflect the values and culture of the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg.

Blend your own unique aroma at our Essential Oil bar, choosing from a wide variety of pure essential oils, vials and bottles. See where your creativity takes you, and your senses.

Put your Green thumb to the test, with Mashkiki Planting. A sacred medicine 101, and a lesson on planting and caring for the plant. Choose from a variety of plants and pots, and learn the basics of Mashkiki while you pot your own to take home.
