The Producers of Peterborough & the Kawarthas

Hard Winter Bakery

Hard Winter Bakery, with their recently opened storefront in the city of Peterborough, uses their hand-built wood-fired oven, and a variety of fresh, local ingredients to bake daily, which they sell at the Peterborough & Lakefield Farmers markets, and a host of other restaurants and shops in Peterborough & the Kawarthas.

Traynor Farms

Traynor Farms, located just outside of Peterborough, Ontario is a family-owned, local-market farm providing a year-round venue to source locally produced, traditionally grown foods using regenerative farming practices. Publican House Brewery is a craft brewery located in downtown Peterborough, Ontario. Circle Organic

Circle Organic is a small community-based, certified organic family farm in Millbrook, Ontario, producing fresh, organic food for Peterborough & the Kawarthas. They grow a wide range of high quality, nutrient-dense vegetables, fruits and herbs which they distribute through their year-round Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) program, various farmers’ markets, restaurants and health food stores.

Harley Farms

Harley Farms originated in England, and moved to their present farm near Keene, Ontario in 2000. Their goal is to produce livestock and crops in a way that aligns with the surrounding natural environment, with a special focus on animal and bird welfare, which has resulted in receiving SPCA certification. They believe that high welfare for animals translates into better lift and food for the community, and they supply their products to various restaurants and retailers.
