Once the Trent Canal has frozen you can skate under the shadow of the world famous Peterborough Lift Lock – until then, here are some great venues where you can slide in for some winter fun.

Peterborough Lift Lock - When the Trent Canal at the base of the world’s highest hydraulic lift lock freezes in the winter, it becomes a favourite spot for public skating and recreational hockey. When the flag is green it is safe to skate, if it is red, skating is not permitted.
