Peterborough Musicfest, now entering its 31st season of free-admission entertainment in beautiful Del Crary Park in downtown Peterborough
Every year a town anxiously awaits an event that will showcase its uniqueness and sense of community. For two months in the heart of summer, the Peterborough Musicfest galvanizes a city and greatly impacts an economy with 19 free concerts. Popular bands such as Tegan and Sara, Carly Rae Jepsen, Walk Off the Earth, Hanson, and Emerson Drive have graced the Fred Anderson Stage at Del Crary Park.
On the shores of picturesque Little Lake, Peterborough Musicfest, by entertaining locals with prominent live acts, generates a sizable economic impact to local business and tourist attractions. In 2016, an Economic Impact Study revealed that the Musicfest provides a $4.2 million boost to the region through hotels, restaurants and shopping.
The two-month event is funded completely through corporate sponsorship, fundraising initiatives, and private donations as well as through municipal support at all levels.
Peterborough Musicfest is proud of the past 30 years and looks forward to the 31st being as entertaining as ever. The sparks begin at Del Crary Park with the first show on CANADA DAY, July 1 2017 featuring Kim Mitchell!
