Day Two

Adventure Outfitters

Rent snowshoes, classic cross-country skis or skate skis at Adventure Outfitters and enjoy a trek along approximately 3km of trails meandering along Chemong Lake at the Selwyn Conservation Area & Beach

Jesse’s Tap & Grill

A true Ennismore staple and local hot spot, Jesse’s has been serving the area for 25+ years! You can’t go wrong with anything on their expansive menu – and the portions… are generous! On your way there, you’ll travel the James A. Gifford Causeway, a wonderous site with Chemong Lake on both sides!

Tuckered out from your morning of activity? Enjoy shopping along Queen Street in Lakefield and find some unique gifts and souvenirs. For a truly unique gift, check out The English Potter where you can peruse hand made ceramics by local artist Gail West, whose pottery has been commissioned by Canoe Restaurant in Toronto and by Chef Lynn Crawford (Ruby Watchco Restaurant in Toronto) for Iron Chef Canada in 2018.

Canoe & Paddle

An English pub and restaurant located in the historic Hamblin’s building beside the Otonabee River in Lakefield. A local fave is the Dirty Bird sandwich! Get there early – Saturday nights have live entertainment and the restaurant is always bustling!

Ontario Speed Skating Oval

Feeling a bit more energy? Try your hand at speed skating at the Ontario Speed Skating Oval on your way home. Speed skates are available for rent
