Vintage Voyage: Atticus & Ivy’s Guide to The Kawarthas
Do you ever wish you could step into a time machine and travel back to your favourite era? Maybe you would go back to the 70’s and rock some flared jeans, or maybe slip into a flapper dress and get your Charleston on in the roaring 20’s. Time travel has not been invented—yet—but The Kawarthas have the perfect places to soothe that decades old desire.
Join us, Atticus & Ivy, on a Vintage Voyage through The Kawarthas, where they’ll dig through boxes of timeless gems and discover treasures they never thought they’d lay their eyes on in 2025.

8293 Highway 7, Havelock
The wild wild west is right here in The Kawarthas, in fact. It’s in the south-east corner of Havelock! The smell of classic leather, the love from friendly dogs, and the store front including an old saloon, barbour shop, mercantile, and jailhouse, make this the perfect place for anyone who is looking for an immersive browsing experience. The back of the store is home to their leather workshop, where everything from saddles, bags, harnesses, clothing, and more is made and prepared to be sent all around the world. This shop stands out from the crowd, with goodies and gifts that remind you of good times, even the ones you didn’t actually live in!
The Antique Barn
4477 Highway 7, Norwood
If a treasure trove is what you crave, The Antique Barn is just the place for you. As you cruise into Norwood along Highway 7, you can’t miss the wildly decorated historic barn. Get lost searching indoors, outdoors, upstairs, and downstairs. At the Antique Barn, the opportunities never stop, and the small-town passion is carried within each beautiful piece they have for sale.
2351 County Road 35, Norwood
Curated and classic, the two words to describe Vintage Inspired. From Canadian-made products to carefully selected items and antique finds, this quaint shop stands out beyond the traditional antique style or the up-scale vintage vibe. Just south of Highway 7, at Vintage Inspired, you get both and so much more. Rifle through boxes of vinyl records for your retro-loving friend, grab brand-new kitchenware for your parents, and all the while grab a little something that lights you up.
1118 Highway 7, Otonabee-South Monaghan
Memories from childhood of running around all 6,000 square feet of Nostalgic Journey make this stop a special one. At the far east of Lansdowne Street, where Highway 7 begins, lives a place that makes it just about impossible to leave without a token of your time there. Do not expect a quick browse, because soon you will be bending down and rustling through boxes of old jewelry, vintage posters, and other goods that simply cannot be categorized. Something is in the air of Nostalgic Journey; the name does not lie. Take a part of your past, your parents’ past, and your whole family tree with you into this one-of-a-kind store and reconnect with history.
124 Lindsay Road, Selwyn
East of Fowlers Corners, along Lindsay Road in Selwyn is a red rooved barn. If you didn’t take an extra second to look a little closer, you may have driven right past it without a second thought. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll uncover two floors worth of vintage and Canadian-made magic. Craftworks is home to a massive selection of award-winning furniture, delicious snacks, home decor and more. But it is only when the glowing red sign comes into view that you’ll be pointed toward the lower half, dedicated to antiques. Take all the time you need to absorb the long stretch of beautiful vintage pieces that will make you never want to leave.
