The purpose of this year’s open house is two-fold: one, to acknowledge our receipt of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant to digitize negatives from our Peterborough Examiner fonds and make them accessible online; and two, to celebrate 25 years at our archives building, which we moved into on Labour Day of 1998.
You’re invited to join us for the occasion, where there will be remarks from MPP Dave Smith and an Ontario Trillium Foundation representative about the grant, and a presentation about the history of TVA from our archivist, Elwood Jones. This is also a great opportunity to inquire about the resources that are housed at TVA and/or about becoming a TVA member.
This event is free to attend for all TVA members and non-members and refreshments will be provided.
