Tide of Hope is a Peter Robinson emigration play based on the life of David Nagle and his flight from turmoil and oppression in Ireland to Upper Canada. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the Robinson settlers from Ireland in the Newcastle District. The play is set in 1825 in the Blackwater district of Ireland at the height of the agrarian rebellion against excessive land rents and church tithes. The play is suitable for ages 12 to adult. The running time of this play is about 80 minutes.
