The Muse

Canada takes the spotlight in our opening concert with former principal violist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Mate Szucs joining the musicians of the PSO in a newly commissioned concerto by Canadian composer, Ronald Royer. Four Poems by Alberta native, Chrisine Donkin was inspired by Canadian poet and prose writer, Sir Charles G.D.Roberts. This concert opens with Ravel’s Le tombeau de Couperin and closes with Prokofiev’s beloved Classical Symphony – two great odes from the early 20th century.
