Peterborough Symphony Orchestra: A Holiday Welcome

On December 10 the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra returns to the Showplace stage with a beloved local tradition, our Holiday Concert.

A delight for the whole family, this concert is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. We have really missed sharing this with the community over the last few years, and are thrilled to once again be able to gather together to celebrate the season.

PSO Music Director Michael Newnham says,

“Our Holiday concerts are very special. Geared to the entire family, we find a way of mixing the traditional with the popular. It’s a way of celebrating the season through sparkling, melodic and upbeat music anywhere from Tchaikovsky and the “Waltz King” Johann Strauss, to brilliant pop arrangements of familiar tunes and carols. You will hear the entire PSO in all its sumptuous glory.

This year, we are extremely fortunate to be joined by one of Canada’s vocal treasures, baritone James Westman. Mr. Westman’s career has taken him to opera houses and orchestras around the world, where he has made huge connections with audiences.

This will be a concert you and your family will not want to miss.”
