Surrey, BC’s Tyler Joe Miller burst onto the Canadian country music scene with his Gold-certified debut single, “Pillow Talkin’,” in 2019, earning him a #1 spot at Canadian country radio. He made history as the first independent Canadian country artist to achieve back-to-back #1 singles with his follow-up, “I Would Be Over Me Too.” With 9 Top 10 hits, a 2021 SiriusXM Top of the Country win, and multiple JUNO and CCMA nominations, Miller has firmly established himself as a standout in country music.
His latest EP, Going Home, is nominated for the 2025 CCMA Album of the Year, highlighting his growth as a songwriter with heartfelt storytelling centred on love, loss, and resilience. Catch him performing live at Peterborough Musicfest on Wednesday, July 15 at 8:00 PM, and on the upcoming CCMA Awards on September 13, where he is also nominated for Male Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice.
Peterborough Musicfest is one of Canada’s longest-running free admission music festival and a highlight of the summer season for visitors exploring Peterborough County and the Kawarthas. The series takes place at Del Crary Park on the shores of Little Lake, offering a scenic waterfront setting for live music under the stars.
Held every Wednesday and Saturday evening from late June to mid August, Peterborough Musicfest features a dynamic mix of Canadian and international artists across genres including rock, pop, country, indie, folk, and roots. Each concert evening begins with the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco starting at 6:30 pm, followed by the headline performance at 8:00 pm on the Fred Anderson Stage.
Musicfest is proudly free, barrier-free, and family-friendly, making it an easy addition to a regional getaway. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a relaxed summer evening by the water. On-site food vendors and nearby dining options enhance the experience, while accommodations, lakes, trails, beaches, and cycling routes throughout Peterborough County make it simple to plan a full day or weekend around a concert night.
For travellers staying across the County, Peterborough Musicfest offers a memorable evening experience that pairs perfectly with the region’s outdoor adventures and small-town charm — bringing people together through live music all summer long.
