Juno Award-winning Canadian folk trio Good Lovelies are bringing their celebrated harmonies and heartfelt songwriting to Peterborough Musicfest. Known for their engaging live performances and signature blend of folk, pop, and acoustic music, Good Lovelies will perform songs from their acclaimed new album We Will Never Be the Same alongside fan favourites from their award-winning catalogue.

Formed in 2007, Good Lovelies have become one of Canada’s most celebrated folk-pop acts, known for their captivating harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and engaging live performances. Over nearly two decades together, the Juno Award-winning trio of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough, and Sue Passmore have built an acclaimed catalogue that continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

Their latest album, We Will Never Be the Same, marks a return to the group’s acoustic roots while exploring the rich emotional complexity of life, love, change, and self-discovery. Thoughtful, intimate, and beautifully crafted, the record showcases the trio’s signature harmonies alongside deeply personal songwriting that reflects the experiences and perspectives they’ve gathered throughout their remarkable journey together.

Peterborough Musicfest is one of Canada’s longest-running free admission music festival and a highlight of the summer season for visitors exploring Peterborough County and the Kawarthas. The series takes place at Del Crary Park on the shores of Little Lake, offering a scenic waterfront setting for live music under the stars.

Held every Wednesday and Saturday evening from late June to mid August, Peterborough Musicfest features a dynamic mix of Canadian and international artists across genres including rock, pop, country, indie, folk, and roots. Each concert evening begins with the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco starting at 6:30 pm, followed by the headline performance at 8:00 pm on the Fred Anderson Stage.
