On June 15, Karen Carter-Edwards will lead a walking tour of Jackson Park. Come and explore the fascinating history of this wonderful Peterborough resource. The location began as an industrial site before it became a public park in the 1890’s. Later the site of an amusement park and then a camp for needy children, the city took over the park in the 1960’s. Discover where the gambler’s den was located, Devil’s Gap, the famous beach, and more.

NOTE: The tour meets in the upper parking lot, through the main gates off Monaghan road. It will run rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather, and wear comfortable walking shoes!
