KWIC extends a warm invitation for you to join their annual International Women’s Day celebrations in Nogojiwanong | Peterborough. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is Inspire Inclusion. On Friday March 8th, they will be hosting two free, community events – a Rally and Hybrid Community Event.

The Rally

On Friday, March 8th (International Women’s Day) we will be hosting a rally from noon-1pm starting downtown at Peterborough Square Courtyard and traveling North along the sidewalks of George Street to Confederation Park, across from City Hall. Bring your signs and posters and be ready to chant!

Once we reach City Hall, the International Women’s Day Declaration will be read.

The Hybrid Community Evening Event

Later that day on Friday, March 8th we will be holding a hybrid community event from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at the Peterborough Public Library – Friends of the Library Community Room at 345 Aylmer St. N. Peterborough, ON K9H 3V7. Doors open at 4:30 pm.  

Join us in celebrating the significance of community and the power of shared narratives. Immerse yourself in inspiring stories and partake in a communal activity designed to forge connections and cultivate meaningful relationships. Your presence is not just an invitation; it’s a commitment to celebrating the strength and resilience of women’s and gender equality through the art of storytelling.
