Family Paddle Day

Come Celebrate Family Paddle Day at the Lakefield Beach on Thursday, June 22 at 5:30pm.

Celebrating Lakefield’s historical connection to canoe building, anyone with a wooden boat is encouraged to join in the Paddle Day event. You can bring your own canoe or kayak or use the canoes and kayaks that will be provided by Adventure Outfitters on a first come first served basis. To guarantee yourself a boat, please call Adventure Outfitters prior to the event to request a canoe or kayak (705) 652-7986.

After paddling around Lake Katchawanooka and around the Marsh, participants are invited to enjoy hot dogs and marshmallows over an open bonfire and a piece of “Canoe Cake” baked by Jennie Mackenzie of the Lakefield Pantry.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will be postponed to Monday, June 26, 2023.
