Do you love richly coloured, geometric quilt designs? Have you ever wondered how the sewer creates such sharp points and accurate piecing?
English Paper Piecing (EPP) is the answer and whether you are an experienced sewer or a complete beginner, this workshop will introduce you to a highly accessible approach to designing and piecing your own patchwork projects.
In keeping with the traditional hand tool approach to stone carving shared by visiting Shona artists at Rice Lake Gallery, we are pleased to offer two workshops led by experienced art educator, Miriam Davidson. Miriam will guide you through the entire EPP process, even if you are a novice sewer. If you are an experienced quilter, you may enjoy leaving your machine behind to be inspired by the beauty of nature and the magnificent stone sculptures at the gallery. All you require for this workshop is curiosity, patience and a pair of scissors..
