In 1813, the recently immigrated Staples family wrote back to Ireland about the sweet sap that flowed from Canadian maple trees. Generations later, every spring, the Staples family still tap, boil, and bottle this liquid gold!
After spending his childhood tapping trees alongside his father, Robert Staples started up his own operation in 1973. The operation has now grown to 3600 taps, spread over 3 sugar bushes. With his son and daughter back home, the future for Staples couldn’t be brighter!
Robert and Jill Staples have won numerous awards for their incredible maple syrup, including being Four Time World Champion at the Royal Winter Fair!
Staples Maple Syrup is certified organic with ECOCERT Canada, and a proud member of the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association.
