Our Cottages

Lush foliage is dotted by nine uniquely individual cottages overlooking the clean shorelines of Upper Chemong Lake just south of the village of Buckhorn, Ontario. Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, 3-piece bathroom, Satellite TV, WiFi,  pull out couch or futon, barbecue and picnic table or patio set, your own fire pit,  Satellite TV, WiFi and government tested spring well water and heating.  Completely furnished and carefully maintained, each cottage presents its own view of the lake..

The Resort

Chemong Lake is famous for its walleye, small and large mouth bass and trophy muskie fishing.  As well, boating, swimming, canoeing, adventuring, and leisurely strolls are just some of the activities that Birch Bend offers both adults and kids alike. The kids can fill their day with fishing off the dock for blue gills, jumping off the swim platform or bouncing on the water trampoline. We have excellent docking facilities, a safe sandy beach, 6 fishing boats with reliable motors, a ten person pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boat and canoe.  The Buckhorn area is famous for its Wildlife Art Galleries, Craft Shows, Antique Stores, Petroglyphs Provincial Park, Warsaw Caves and Kawartha Race Track offering horse racing, car racing and slots. In Spring and Summer, Mother Nature offers up abundant assortments of roses, peonies, lillies, a myriad of colourful perennials as well as trilliums, dog-toothed violets and flowering shrubs.The gardens scattered throughout the property invite our guests to enjoy them during a casual stroll.  A pleasant two-hour drive from Toronto, Birch Bend is located just north of Peterborough, in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes Region. At Birch Bend you can’t run out of things to do, or ways to do nothing.
