The Pride Parade will be held on the Saturday September 28th from City Hall to Millennium Park in downtown Peterborough.
Gather at 1:30pm at City Hall for pre-parade events and the parade starts at 2pm. The planned Parade/March route is approximately 1km and finishes at Millennium Park for the Pride in the Park event which runs until about 5:30pm.
You may recognize this year’s theme – it’s taken from our annual Pride Trans Day of Resiliency, first held in 2015. As the existance of trans and queer people becomes more politicized – we want to uplift this part of our community by educating about all of our realities, promoting action and visibility, and celebrating solidarity and strength. Though this theme fits well for the whole community – it’s important to highlight its roots and to uplift it and our trans and gender-diverse community as we do so.
