Westwind Inn is a charming all cedar lodge nestled under tall pines on pink granite rock at the water’s edge. A truly spectacular wilderness setting yet close to all amenities. We are reminiscent of a rustic Rocky Mountain Lodge filled with antiques, art, fireplaces, memorabilia and collectables. Guest rooms are cozy with sofa, fireplace, balcony, large private 4 piece bathroom. Many are upgraded with heart shaped air jet tub. So comfortable you will feel right at home. Common living room with board games, tables, chairs, sofas, coffee and tea self service.
Honeymoon Suites in “The Chalet” perched on a scenic point overlooking the lake are steps away. Only 4 so they are very private and exclusive. More spacious and luxurious than main lodge rooms.
We are not a Luxury Resort. We are casual, comfy cozy very cottage like. Not pretentious. We also offer superb licensed lakeside dining.
Outdoor recreation year round. Sand beach. Boats: canoes, kayaks, sail and pedal boats, SUPs, water bikes, row boat. Pontoon cruise boat seats 18. 40 foot pool. Fishing. Boardwalk. Lovely gardens. Nature trails. Winter cross country skiing, skating on the lake, snow shoeing. Bon fire pit. A large meadow with golf putting green, driving net and volleyball, badminton net.
We are primarily an adult resort, mostly couples but singles love it here also. Women’s getaways are popular. Workshops, group and wellness retreats. Also weddings, conferences, reunions. You may exclusive use of the entire inn with large groups.
We have several meeting rooms and banquet room. Huge licensed lakefront deck. Join us for Christmas and New Years Eve. A quiet subdued gathering. Good food and relaxation. No noisy parties. Socialize with friends or family or make new friends at the inn.
Buckhorn is only 3 km away from last minute necessities. Supermarket, drug store & pharmacy, medical centre, post office, LCBO, hardware, auto. service station, marina, restaurants.
