DESCRIPTION:Spend a day in Lang Pioneer Village’s historic Blacksmith Shop and discover the basics of traditional blacksmithing. In this hands-on introductory workshop\, participants will work with heritage tools and equipment under the guidance of an experienced heritage blacksmith. You’ll learn fundamental forging techniques and create your own fire poker to take home. No prior experience is required. This unique experience offers a chance to connect with living history while learning an essential pioneer craft. Please note this course requires steel toed boots to participate. Advance registration is required.
