The Norwood Fair was established back in the year 1868 as a place for area residents to display the fruits of their labours and to provide an opportunity for some friendly competition between friends and neighbours. The fair was also a community gathering where village folk came together to celebrate the harvest\, catch up with each other and have a little fun for a couple of days. \nThe Norwood Fair has of course grown and evolved substantially in the last 150+ years\, our mandate however has not changed\, it is and always will be our mission to provide you and your family with a traditional country fair filled with lots of fun and excitement. \nOne ticket price at the gate covers entry to all fair events. Tickets to Midway rides may be purchased at the ticket booths on the carnival grounds. \n\nAdults: $15.00 daily\nChildren 12 and under FREE\nAdult Weekend Passes: $25.00\nFree Parking on the Fairgrounds\n\nWeekend passes are available at Hastings\, Havelock and Norwood Home Hardware stores and at the Fair Office until the Saturday of the fair.\nDue to the large number of animals involved in our exhibits and attractions no pets are allowed on the fairgrounds. \nHours of Operation \n\n\n\nGates and Buildings: Daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\nMidway: Daily beginning at 10:30 a.m.\n\n\n\nPlease check the Schedule of Events for start times for special happenings

SUMMARY:Peterborough Musicfest Presents: Lindsay Ell
DESCRIPTION:Randy Bachman discovered Calgary-born country pop sensation Lindsay Ell at the age of 15\, and ever since then\, she has been taking care of business. The award-winning singer\, songwriter\, and philanthropist has been playing guitar since age eight and songwriting since age ten. Now\, years later\, she can say she’s played on some of the world’s biggest stages. \nEll has built a career through sheer determination and grit. Celebrated internationally for her unmistakable guitar play and powerful voice\, Ell has been nominated for numerous awards\, including: ACM Award for New Female Vocalist (2019); New Female Vocalist (2020); Music Event of the Year (2020); CMT Awards (Social Superstar (2015); Collaborative Video of the Year (2019); CMA Awards (Musical Event of the Year (2019); JUNO Awards (Country Album of the Year (2021); and 20 CCMA Awards. \nLindsay reached the Top 5 on the US Billboard charts with her hit duet with Brantley Gilbert\, “What Happens in a Small Town.” This is a remarkable achievement for a Canadian artist. Lindsay has recently been direct support for country artists Blake Shelton\, Zac Brown Band\, and Brad Paisley on their worldwide tours. \nHowever\, her talents are not limited to musical prowess. Last year\, she earned her first Canadian Screen Award nomination (Best Host or Presenter\, Factual or Reality/Competition) for her role as host of Canada’s highest-rated reality TV program\, Canada’s Got Talent. \nShe will also be joining Shania Twain’s Las Vegas residency as Twain’s lead guitarist and recently shared the stage with OneRepublic. Ell continues to prove that Forbes was not wrong when crowning her “one of the most exciting and talented young artists.” \nIn December 2013\, her first official single\, “Trippin’ on Us\,” debuted as the most added song for country music radio in both Canada and the United States with over 50 first-week adds. Ell has since been called “a true triple threat” by Guitar World\, “a star in the making” by Taste of Country\, and “a distinct figure in the modern country recording camp” by Country Weekly. This will be Lindsay Ell’s first appearance on the Fred Anderson Stage. \nListen Here: LINDSAY ELL YouTube MUSIC

SUMMARY:Peterborough Musicfest Presents: Elton Rohn
DESCRIPTION:Elton Rohn will be taking you down the “Yellow Brick Road” performing as Elton John during the prime of his career. SUMMARY:Peterborough Musicfest Presents: RÊVE with special guest dee holt
DESCRIPTION:Since making her label debut in 2021\, Montreal-born\, Toronto-based recording artist Rêve has established herself as one of the most promising dance-pop singer-songwriters of this generation. She has amassed over 110 million combined global streams thanks to a host of popular original singles\, from her debut track “Still Dancing” to the irresistible “SKIN2SKIN.” \nHer debut track “Whitney” reached #1 on the US Dance charts\, while her Canadian chart-topping track “CTRL+ALT+DEL” attained Platinum status only eight months after its release. It was featured on Canada’s Drag Race\, garnering a SOCAN Dance Music Award in 2022 and a Dance Recording of the Year award at the 2023 JUNOs. Rêve has also received nominations at the 2023 JUNO Awards for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and TikTok Juno Fan Choice. Her sonic blend of playful pop and R&B-influenced dance music is inspired by the Euro sounds of the 90s. \nOpening for Rêve is fellow Montreal native dee holt\, who has risen to prominence after only recently revealing her talents. Not long ago\, the 19-year-old was singing along to her dad’s VHS home videos and performing at family gatherings\, without considering a career in singing. That changed when her mother coaxed her into serenading her boyfriend’s parents upon their first meeting\, and suddenly\, a career had begun in earnest. Since then\, holt has been working with producer Benjamin Nadeau\, discovering an honest yet playful indie pop sound. \nTeen Vogue has called her the “one to watch\,” while SHEESH Media compared her vocals to Billie Eilish. On her second EP\, I’ll Be There\, dee really pushed her creative boundaries around a body of music that takes her to the next level. Reflecting on the process\, dee says\, “This project was such a fun experience\, in every aspect… I loved experimenting with my writing style and technique. I loved brainstorming and creating visuals that went along with the songs. But most of all\, I loved walking into the studio and getting carried away in the music\, trying new things. Coming up with an idea\, and then slowly watching it build and come to life is such a special feeling.” \nThis will be both performers first time at Musicfest. Rêve and holt with take the Fred Anderson stage on Wednesday\, July 24th. \nListen to Rêve HERE\nListen to dee holt HERE
