DESCRIPTION:The Pride Parade will be held on the Saturday September 28th from City Hall to Millennium Park in downtown Peterborough.\nGather at 1:30pm at City Hall for pre-parade events and the parade starts at 2pm. The planned Parade/March route is approximately 1km and finishes at Millennium Park for the Pride in the Park event which runs until about 5:30pm. \nYou may recognize this year’s theme – it’s taken from our annual Pride Trans Day of Resiliency\, first held in 2015. As the existance of trans and queer people becomes more politicized – we want to uplift this part of our community by educating about all of our realities\, promoting action and visibility\, and celebrating solidarity and strength. Though this theme fits well for the whole community – it’s important to highlight its roots and to uplift it and our trans and gender-diverse community as we do so.

The Norwood Fair was established back in the year 1868 as a place for area residents to display the fruits of their labours and to provide an opportunity for some friendly competition between friends and neighbours. The fair was also a community gathering where village folk came together to celebrate the harvest\, catch up with each other and have a little fun for a couple of days. \nThe Norwood Fair has of course grown and evolved substantially in the last 150+ years\, our mandate however has not changed\, it is and always will be our mission to provide you and your family with a traditional country fair filled with lots of fun and excitement. \nOne ticket price at the gate covers entry to all fair events. The fair was also a community gathering where village folk came together to celebrate the harvest\, catch up with each other and have a little fun for a couple of days. \nThe Norwood Fair has of course grown and evolved substantially in the last 150+ years\, our mandate however has not changed\, it is and always will be our mission to provide you and your family with a traditional country fair filled with lots of fun and excitement. \nOne ticket price at the gate covers entry to all fair events.
