SUMMARY:Annual Artist Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:During the season\, ZimArt hosts a month long exhibition celebrating the work of the visiting artist. Tapiwa Mapuranga\, this year’s artist-in-residence\, will be featured in Stories in Stone\, an exhibition focused on his work. \nOpening night of the exhibition will feature live Zimbabwean music by Nhapitapi from 2-5pm. On weekends during the exhibition a selection of hand-made Zimbabwean crafts and other items will be on sale with all proceeds going to\, ZimKids Community Support\, a Canadian not-for-profit supporting grassroots projects in Zimbabwe. \nMany visitors to the Rice Lake series return year after year. Our guest book is overflowing with compliments about the extraordinary beauty of the work\, the skill and creativity of the artists\, the emotional power of this indigenous art and the inspirational natural setting in which they are displayed.
