DESCRIPTION:As the season continues\, the harvest becomes even more bountiful. We will be open all four weekends of October 2024 (not open Thanksgiving Monday) where we will once again welcome the community to our farm for our annual Buckhorn Pumpkinfest! You can take a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch\, pick your own pumpkin\, play on straw bales\, and explore corn mazes. You can visit our farm store\, enjoy food truck fare\, get spooked in the haunted forest\, and even watch the pumpkin cannon blast off – at Pumpkinfest\, there is fun for the whole family to enjoy! \nWe have increased the area of covered shelters and number of picnic tables so that there is lots of space to sit and relax on the farm in between various Pumpkinfest activities! \nNo Pets Please:  We love animals too and have lots of our own but we can’t host your pets on the farm for both insurance and health and safety reasons. Certified service animals are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Two of the most iconic romantic pieces. Dvorak’s Symphony no. 8 is one of his most beloved works\, steeped in Czech folk rhythms and yearning melodies. Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto is a show-stopper of pianistic and orchestral fire-works\, made famous through the movie “Shine”. The PSO will be joined by one of Canada’s foremost piano virtuosos and one of Peterborough’s great friends\, David Jalbert. \nTo open the concert\, we perform Andrew Balfour’s “Pyotr’s Dream”\, influenced by the music of Tchaikovsky.

Maybe it has something to do with being born next to a candy factory\, or his ambidextrous brain\, but his thoughtful lyrics & charming performances have earned a devoted fan base\, multiple nominations for Junos\, The Polaris Prize\, CBC’s “Heart Of Gold”\, and most recently winning the CFMA’s “Producer of the year” and “Oliver Schroder Pushing the Boundaries” Awards. \nBut Danny considers his career highlights to be the unique real life moments like performing for Jane Goodall’s 85th birthday party\, touring with Stuart Mclean and working with charities close to his heart. \nSteve Poltz \nIt might’ve even been last night\, but Steve Poltz just played the greatest show of his life.
