DESCRIPTION:The Cavan Blazers is a gritty\, intense play which has the audience on the edge of its seat from start to finish. This drama chronicles the religious conflict between Catholic and Protestant settlers in Cavan Township in the early to mid-nineteenth century. Violence erupts when a Protestant vigilante gang known as the Cavan Blazers tries to stop a Catholic settlement from being established. \nPurchase tickets here! \nEnjoy a 4th Line Theatre BBQ before the show between 4pm – 5:30 pm. Offering burgers\, veggie burgers\, sausages\, jumbo pickles\, and more. This multi-talented\, multi-instrumentalist\, multi-genre singer song writer and composer has wowed audiences across the globe with her electrifying performances\, instrumental abilities and powerful textured vocals. She is known for her eclectic mix of various musical genres including Blues\, Soul\, Folk\, Americana\, Jazz\, Gospel and Rock. \nEmily Burgess is a guitarist\, singer\, and songwriter based in Peterborough. As a freelance guitarist\, Emily has worked for a wide variety of artists and groups\, including The Weber Brothers\, The Women’s Blues Revue Band\, The 24th Street Wailers\, Rita Chiarelli\, and Sue Foley. Fronting her own trio (with Marcus Browne on drums and Dawson McManus on bass)\, she won the Best New Artist Maple Blues Award in 2018. As a member of The 24th Street Wailers\, she and her band mates were nominated for a JUNO award for their 2014 album ‘Wicked’.
