SUMMARY:Curve Lake First Nation’s 73rd Annual Traditional Pow Wow
DESCRIPTION:For 70 years\, Curve Lake First Nation has welcomed all to their annual celebration of ceremony\, dance\, and song. Curve Lake invites you to join and share in a celebration of First Nations culture on September 19 & 20\, 2026. \nWhether you are attending your first Pow Wow\, or your first at Curve Lake First Nation\, we’ve recently updated the site with some important information to ensure your Curve Lake Pow Wow experience is both respectful and rewarding. \nGrand Entry both days at 12:00 PM\nSunrise ceremony at 6:00 AM \nTickets can be purchased at the entry\, or online in advance www.curvelakepowwow.com \nPow Wow Tips\n\nDuring Grand Entry\, everyone stands as the Eagle Staff\, the flags and the dancers enter. The Master of Ceremonies will announce other events that require standing as a gesture of respect\nConsider the privacy of the participants. Ask permission before you photograph or record people. This includes the spectators and craftspeople as well as the dancers and singers\nCertain dances and ceremonies are not to be recorded or photographed. The Master of Ceremonies will announce when such activities are not allowed\nDo not touch the dancers’ regalia. These have special meanings and the handmade regalia\, which can cost thousands of dollars\, are cherished and often made by a respected family members\nFeel free to join in the intertribal dancing. The Master of Ceremonies will announce these dances and invite all to join\nNo drugs or alcohol are allowed at Pow Wows\nPets are not permitted on the Pow Wow grounds\nRemember to bring your lawn chairs\, sun block and a good appetite.
