SUMMARY:Stories\, Songs & Santa Causes (ft. Tom Jackson)
DESCRIPTION:Tom Jackson kickstarts the holiday season with grace\, style\, and quirky festivity that many have enjoyed for decades. Expect an evening of original music\, sing-along tunes\, and signature Christmas music from this master storyteller. Stories\, Songs and Santa Causes also features BC Country Music Association Hall-of-Fame producer\, Tom McKillip; and award-winning producer/multi-instrumentalist\, John MacArthur Ellis. Tom\, Tom and John can’t promise “no Dad jokes”\, but the performance will bring some much-welcome levity and humanity with a date-night – or family-day – vibe! \nProceeds and thoughtful donations from this event will go to the Trent Fund in support of cultural services offered by the First Peoples House of Learning (FPHL) at Trent University for a diverse community of Indigenous learners (First Nations\, Status/Non-Status\, Metis\, and Inuit). FPHL will direct assistance to students in financial need\, to purchase materials needed for cultural programming\, to support experiential learning opportunities such as land-based initiatives\, and to facilitate leadership development opportunities for students.

SUMMARY:BLACKIE AND THE RODEO KINGS
DESCRIPTION:The pandemic emerged as Blackie and The Rodeo Kings marked their 25th anniversary as a band with the release of King of This Town. They plan to pick up right where they left off\, writing and releasing more music and hitting the performance stage as often as possible. Originally\, Colin Linden\, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson came together to record what was supposed to\nbe a one-off tribute album to the great Canadian songwriter Willie P. Bennett. The result was High or Hurtin’: The Songs of Willie P. Bennett. The band had no plans to make a subsequent album but something unanticipated happened. \nTom Wilson sums up the Blackie and The Rodeo Kings journey. “25 years later\, we’re still digging in for the sweet spots. Making friends with the ghosts of poets and harmonizing with the voices in fields and swinging for the fences”
