It’s no secret to those who live here, or visit here often that Peterborough, Canada is the place to be. It seems as though some of the worlds most famous happen to agree.

Recently, we have seen the likes of Hedley, Carly Rae Jepsen, Serena Ryder, The Arkells, Hanson, Kim Mitchell, I Mother Earth, Tom Jackson, Suzie McNeil, Ramin Karimloo, Chad Brownlee, Before the Curtain, Die Mannequin, The Trews, Wide Mouth Mason, George Canyon, Trooper, Davy Jones, Natalie McMaster, Steven Page, Jason McCoy, Chilliwack, Alyssa Reid and Faber Drive just to name a few…

If you’re looking to check out the music scene here, small venues such as The Red Dog, Montreal House, The Blackhorse, Dobro, Riley’s Olde Towne Pub and The Spill, and the Riverside Grill & Gazebo at the Holiday Inn are known for showcasing not only big name talents, but thousands of local artists as well.

Larger venues such as The Peterborough Memorial Centre, Showplace Performance Centre, Market Hall and The Venue have also hosted some of the best and outside of the city limits, there are many unique places to take in live entertainmet including Elmhirst’s Resort, Chemong Lodge, and Viamede Resort.

Check out our events page at http://thekawarthas.ca/events/ to find out what’s happening today!
