Public and Family Ice Skating in Peterborough & the Kawarthas

Gliding along frozen water. Seeing your warm breath in the frosty air. There is nothing more quintessentially Canadian than ice skating. Arenas and community centres in the City & County of Peterborough offer public skating at various times throughout the winter season. So whether you’re looking to take your kids out skating, get out with some friends, or have a romantic arm-in-arm skating excursion with your significant other. Once the Trent Canal has frozen you can skate under the shadow of the world famous Peterborough Lift Lock – until then, here are some great venues where you can slide in for some winter fun.
