Fine & Friendly Artisans

The Autumn Treasures Fine Artisan Show features some of Ontario’s finest artisans. Including a fantastic selection of potters, jewelers, painters, quilters, carvers and more, this show comes to the Trentwinds International Centre November 16 – 18, 2012.
It is also one of my personal favourite artisan events. A place where you can get to rub shoulders with some of Ontario’s finest (and friendliest) artisans that are proud to call Peterborough & the Kawarthas their home. You will see from the work they are creating that the beautiful land and waterscapes and the close-knit communities have inspired many of these pieces. That the stories and skills throughout the show are family and community heirlooms.
Perhaps one of the finest things about this gathering of artists and artisans is the lack of pretentiousness when you strike up a conversation about the amazing creations for sale. So many of the artisans here respond to praise with a quiet smile and a praising word for the artist just down the row (who just happens to be their neighbour from just down the road). Find out why life in Peterborough is inspiring.
