Are you a Motorhead? If so, you may already be familiar with The Motorhead Traveler – a travel show on the Travel + Escape Network (Canada), MAVTV (USA) and International Hightv in 3DHD (International) with host Kevin Cullen.
The Motorhead Traveler is an original concept in television travel show formats that intends to open the viewers eyes to a new concept in Motor-Sport Adventure Travel. The show follows Kevin Cullen as he takes you on a motorized journeys all over the world. In addition to motor element, such as ATVing, Dirtbiking, Motorcycling, or Jet Skiing (to name a few) the show also features local culture, history, art and outdoor cooking. The places and adventures featured offer experiences of a lifetime that meet the needs and skill levels of many, not just experienced riders – suitable for everyone from people travelling with a young families to those looking for fast-paced adventures.
Kevin Cullen recently visited Peterborough & the Kawarthas and filmed an episode here that is set to air starting in the USA on November 15th. The episode will feature Kevin learning the intricate skill of paddle carving, as instructed by Russ Parker from the Canadian Canoe Museum over the course of 2 days. You’ll then see Kevin experience something truly gratifying, as he paddles his way through the world’s highest hydraulic liftlock (Lock 21) on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Peterborough with that very same paddle. He also gets a personal tour of the museum by Curator Jeremy Ward.
The episode will feature Kevin partaking in motorized fun at Trail Tours Dirt Bike, ATV and Trials school just outside of Peterborough, in some pretty soggy weather (which makes for muddy fun!) Learning from Canadian Super Bike Champion and Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame superstar Toni Sharpless and the team at Trail Tours, Kevin will show the viewers the ins and outs of trials bikes and trail riding at it’s best.
Finally, the episode will end with a trip to Elmhirst Resort in Keene, where Kevin will show off his cooking skills with some outdoor cooking, and Grandma’s Wild Rice Pudding recipe, as well as a scenic flight over Rice Lake and Little Lake.
