The Selwyn Beach Conservation Area is located on the northeast shore of Chemong Lake, at 2251 Birch Island Road, just north of Peterborough.

Day use admission to the conservation area is free of charge.

Selwyn Beach is best known for its excellent swimming provided by a gently sloping sandy beach on Chemong Lake. Parents and caregivers are advised that the beach and swimming area are not supervised. Sorry, no dogs allowed on the beach.

The conservation area also offers a boat launch and docking facility, providing access to Chemong Lake and the Kawartha Lakes system for those who enjoy recreational boating. There is no charge to launch your boat or to use the boat dock.

Picnickers will enjoy the convenience of the picnic shelter, with central barbecue and tables, washrooms and change houses located near the beach area. Please contact us (call 705-652-3161) to reserve the use of the picnic shelter for family or other organized functions.
