Peterborough Pulse returns as the city’s Open Street event!
Pulse will create a vibrant, playful, and active car-free corridor between Peterborough’s downtown and the Saturday Farmers’ Market. Streets once filled with cars instead fill with families pushing strollers, dog-walkers, cyclists and roller-skaters, art installations and more.
Peterborough’s largest free recreation program returns Saturday, July 15th, from 9am-3pm!
Peterborough Pulse invites the whole city to walk, bike, dance, play and socialize in spaces typically used by cars. Peterborough Pulse opens the streets to people to promote: active transportation, healthy communities, downtown business, and social interaction between neighbours.
For one summer day, George Street will transform into a vibrant car-free corridor filled with families pushing strollers, cyclists and roller-skaters, Karate and Zumba, art and music, and more. Peterborough Pulse is free, fun, and for everyone. This year the Pulse event route connects to many local trails for walking and cycling to our open streets event!
