March Break Discovery at The Peterborough Museum & Archives
When: Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17, 2017
Ages: 4 to 11
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. full day registration) (Drop-offs as early as 8:45 a.m. and pick-ups as late as 4:15 p.m.)
Cost: $35/full day (*March Break Discovery Camps are all Full-Day Registrations)
What to Bring
A nut free morning and/ or afternoon snack, water bottle, appropriate outdoor clothing and nut free lunch (if staying for whole day). The Museum promotes a nut free environment.

Monday, March 13 - The Changing Climate Discovery Day
Instructor Ashley O’Brien will be joining us to teach about how the world is constantly changing! Whether it’s the weather, animals or plants, our environment is always in flux. Our climate is precious and needs your help! Join us for a day filled with experimenting, crafting and learning. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn about the environment changing around us.

Wednesday, March 15th – STEAM: Challenge Yourself!
STEAM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts & Math. STEAM has become a popular teaching method used by educators around the globe! This camp is designed to challenge participants to think outside the box while they build, create, design, & explore. Campers will be presented with a variety of questions and tasks that will engage their problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive environment!
Thursday, March 16th – Drama & Play with Ray!
Join seasoned PMA Instructor Ray Henderson as he teaches campers all kinds of improvisation and drama games. This day will surely have a colourful cast of characters. One minute you might be a King or Queen of a faraway land, and the next clucking like a chicken! By the end of this camp, you will surely be full of lots of laughs!
Friday, March 17th – Myths & Monsters
This day will be led by a group of Fleming students in the Museum Management & Curatorship Program hosted right here at the PMA. They will be bringing a program that explores Mythical Creatures & Monsters from around the world! Are the stories of what bumps in the night just legends, or is there more than meets the eye? Campers will learn about how mythical monsters are a result of the fears and superstitions shared by the people in cultures that created them.
